Manchester United and other clubs have just a few days of the January transfer window to complete any business.
There is not too much time of the January transfer window remaining as Manchester United prepare for the second half of the Premier League season.
It’s been a positive couple of weeks for the club and the team following the appointment of Michael Carrick as interim head coach until the end of the season. Since his arrival, United have picked up six points from their two games against Man City and Arsenal.
Eyes now turn to making it three wins from three when United are back in action on Sunday afternoon (2pm kick-off), when they take on Fulham at Old Trafford. That game is played just over 24 hours before the January transfer window shuts.
There has not been too much movement at Old Trafford over the last month in terms of first-team comings and goings. That doesn’t mean that there has not been rumours about possible arrivals and exits.
United still have a few days left to complete any business. With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the latest transfer news and rumours.
United enter £40m race
United are said to have entered the race for Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown. TEAMTalk report that club scouts were in attendance to watch the player in Wednesday night’s Champions League clash against Tottenham, where Brown played 72 minutes.
The 22-year-old has a contract with Frankfurt until 2030, but he is expected to leave the club this summer. He will apparently cost around the £40million mark if a club does manage to prise him away.
United are not alone in their interest in the defender with Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham all credited with an interest.

Transfer ‘negotiations’
Negotiations are ‘underway’ for a deal that could see Joshua Zirkzee move to Juventus before the end of the window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The forward has been linked with a move away from United throughout the January window, with Roma heavily rumoured to be interested. However, he has remained at Old Trafford, with a change in manager impacting his situation.
It does now seem that he could be on the move. It’s reported that the Dutchman is seen as an alternative option for Juventus to top target Youssef En-Nesyri.
Juve are becoming frustrated with their pursuit and may move on to other targets. It’s said that “negotiations are underway” for Zirkzee, and United are considering a loan deal without an option or obligation to buy.
