KEY POINTS

  • Kylie Jenner revealed via Instagram that her son’s new name is Aire
  • Jenner clarified that his name is pronounced as “air”
  • Jenner shares 11-month-old son Aire and 4-year-old daughter Stormi with Travis Scott

Kylie Jenner has finally revealed the new name of her son, as well as how to properly pronounce it.

The 25-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder shared on Instagram Saturday photos showing the face of her 11-month-old son with Travis Scott for the first time. But the reality star took the Instagram debut a bit further, surprising the internet by announcing their son’s new name.

“Aire,” Jenner simply wrote in the caption, adding a heart emoji.

Her mother, Kris Jenner, 67, confirmed that this was the boy’s new name in the comments section, writing, “I love you, Aire Webster.”

Following the announcement, however, some fans were confused about how to correctly pronounce the name.

Instagram fan account @kyliesnapchat re-posted Jenner’s original name announcement and asked if her son’s name was read as “air” or “airey.”

The beauty mogul set the record straight by commenting on the post that it was pronounced as “air,” according to a screenshot obtained by Instagram page Comments By Celebs.

Jenner’s name revelation came 10 months after she and Scott, who was born Jacques Bermon Webster, announced that they were changing their second child’s name, according to Entertainment Tonight.

After the pair welcomed their son in February last year, they revealed nine days later that they named him Wolf Jacques Webster.

But the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum gave an update on Instagram in March 2022 saying that her son would no longer be going by the name Wolf.

“[For your information] our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore,” Jenner said at the time, according to ET. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”

In an episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” Jenner explained that she “felt pressured” to choose a name for her son after his birth because otherwise, she claimed, the hospital would register him without a “name or Social Security number.”

“We put Wolf Webster in that moment, and right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, ‘What did I just do?'” Jenner admitted.

Jenner and Scott are reportedly “on a break” from their relationship. An unnamed source told ET that they are still co-parenting their two children, Aire and 4-year-old Stormi Webster, but are not currently together romantically.

The exes’ on-again, off-again relationship began in 2017.

“The two have had an up-and-down relationship,” the source noted, adding that “although they aren’t together right now, it doesn’t mean it’s over for good.”

An unnamed insider also confirmed the breakup to People, saying that the beauty mogul “is not with Travis right now” and that Jenner and Scott were at “different places” at the moment.

“Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier. Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. They definitely have different focuses. They always did,” the source said.
