HOSPITALITY management group Prosper Cap : PPC 0% temporarily halted operations at its Crowne Plaza Hotel Stratford-upon-Avon property in the UK, following a fire accident that occurred on Apr 30.
On Thursday (May 2), the group said preliminary assessments suggest that any financial effects of the incident will be mitigated through its insurance coverage, but the group will update shareholders of any changes.
No injuries or casualties have been reported, it added.
“All guests were evacuated safely despite the hotel running at full occupancy, with alternative accommodation arranged.”
The Catalist-listed group said that the site of the fire incident, as well as common areas of the hotel sustained smoke and water damage, but no guest rooms were damaged.
Operations at the hotel have been halted to “focus on cleaning and repairs primarily in non-guest areas”.
The group said that full operations are estimated to resume within 14 days and that it will provide in due course material developments, including the resumption of operations at the hotel.
