Canadian musician Drake has taken to social media to ask that local media please keep the noise down, as he’s trying to sleep.
In a post to his Instagram Stories page on Saturday, the rapper wrote: “@cp24breaking news can we discuss chopper flight times over the house cause I won’t lie I’m trying to sleep.” After an arrow-through-a-heart emoji he added: “Anytime after 3pm works great for me.”

Drake has been the subject of media and police attention since last Tuesday, when a security guard was shot outside his $100-million home in Toronto’s upscale Bridle Path neighbourhood. The incident came during an ongoing feud between the artist and another rapper, Kendrick Lamar.
The two have slammed each other publicly through their music. Most recently, a satellite image of Drake’s home was the cover art for Lamar’s newest song, Not Like Us. On May 4, Lamar released the song in a YouTube video that featured Drake’s Park Lane Circle property in the background.
Since the shooting (and apparently unrelated to it) two separate trespassers on the musician’s property resulted in police being called to the home.
In one of the odder knock-on effects of the feud, Toronto’s Chinatown restaurant New Ho King, mentioned in a diss track by Lamar, was flooded with thousands of five-star Google reviews from Lamar’s fans. They were later removed by Google.
