A dramatic video released by Israel Police shows the rescue of three hostages who had been kept in Gaza since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7.
The video shows three of the four hostages — Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv — rescued from captivity over the weekend by officers from the Israel Police National Counterterrorism Unit and Israeli security forces, Israel Police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. Noa Argamani was also rescued the same day, however, she does not appear in the video.

The video footage was taken from helmet cameras worn by soldiers. It shows soldiers approaching a structure on foot, pushing past trees, to the sound of gunfire. Upon entering the structure — the home of Hamas terrorist and Palestinian journalist Abdallah Aljamal, the Times of Israel reported — soldiers search for the hostages.
The footage cuts to the soldiers reaching a room where one person is shown with his arms up, lying flat. Two others appear to be hiding behind a cushion. A soldier asks for their names, in Hebrew, and then confirms the three hostages have been found while a blast goes off nearby.
“We’ve come to save you,” one of the soldier says, per The Jerusalem Post, while fist-bumping Meir Jan.
The operation was retroactively named after Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, who was fatally wounded during the rescue, according to Israel Police.

Around 100 Palestinians were killed, said Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, speaking to reporters.
“I don’t know how many [of] them are terrorists,” he said, according to Reuters.
The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry reported that 274 people were killed during the rescue operation, per the BBC.
“This was a high risk, complex mission based on precise intelligence, conducted in daylight in two separate buildings deep inside Gaza. While under fire — under fire inside the buildings, under fire on the way out from Gaza — our forces rescued our hostages,” said Hagari in a statement on YouTube.
“When we say we will do everything to bring our hostages back home, we mean it. We will not stop fighting for their freedom.”
