Barack Obama will deliver the keynote speech at the Democratic convention in Chicago on Tuesday to rally the party behind Kamala Harris and her vision for the future of the country.
The convention will culminate in a big speech from Harris on Thursday. Her husband Doug Emhoff will be one of the speakers tonight.

The major speeches are underway. J.B. Pritzker, the governor of Illinois, who is hosting the convention, spoke following remarks from Chuck Schumer, the senate majority leader and Bernie Sanders, a senator from Vermont who previously ran against President Joe Biden and Harris.
Other speakers include: former First Lady Michelle Obama, Michelle Lujan Grisham, New Mexico’s governor and John Giles, a mayor from the swing state of Arizona.

Obama’s speech is scheduled for 10 p.m. The theme of the night is “A bold vision for America’s future.”
