Trump says he won the debate against Harris ‘by a lot’
On Wednesday morning, while speaking to Fox News, the former president said he won the presidential debate “by a lot,” The Guardian reported. He also said it was his “best ever” debate, per the publication.
In the same interview, he responded to the fact that pop star Taylor Swift officially endorsed Harris on Tuesday night.
“She’s a very liberal person,” said Trump on Wednesday, about Swift.
“She always seems to endorse a Democrat and she will probably pay the price for that in the market.”
Last month, on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump posted an AI version of Swift, insinuating she endorsed him. However, Swift posted on her Instagram account to clarify the situation to her fans.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” she said.
“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.”

“Fine Taylor … you win …I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life,” he wrote.
The Tesla CEO has previously spoken about his concerns about “population collapse.”
Harris reportedly open to second debate in October, Trump ‘less inclined’
Harris may be open to another debate in October, Harris’ deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks told CNN on Wednesday morning.
“I think that both campaigns are going to have to agree to a time but I think the vice president is open to a debate in October,” said Fulks, according to CNN.
Trump was less certain about another debate. He told Fox News that he was “less inclined” to face off against Harris again, The Guardian reported.
“Well, I’d be less inclined to because we had a great night. We won the debate,” he said.
However, Trump had previously confirmed he would be present at a Sept. 25 debate hosted by NBC News. His campaign’s senior adviser Jason Miller told CNN on Wednesday that the “onus” was now on Harris to confirm.
Fulks did not clarify whether or not Harris would attend a September debate.

False claims made about Harris wearing Nova audio earrings
On Wednesday morning, rumours swirled on social media claiming that Harris was wearing audio earrings by the technology company Nova. Close-up photos of Harris’ ears were circulating online, with some users on TikTok and X stating that the pair of pearl earrings she had on were wireless earphones that could be connected to a phone via Bluetooth.
“This conspiracy quickly gained traction among Trump supporters on Tuesday night as they grasped to excuse his poor performance,” reported tech publication WIRED.
One post on X alluding to the rumours received 14 million views on Wednesday morning. However, a feature on the social media platform allowed readers to give context to the post. “Harris wore earrings by Tiffany & Co that she has worn many times before,” according to information from readers, who also provided a link to a website that shared what Harris wore. The earrings are no longer available for purchase online, per the website.
