The benchmark S&P 500 and the Nasdaq opened higher on Monday (Sep 23) as investors shifted their focus to comments from Federal Reserve policymakers and economic data lined up through the week, following the central bank’s decision to commence policy easing.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 3.0 points, or 0.01 per cent, at the open to 42,060.4. The S&P 500 rose 9.3 points, or 0.16 per cent, at the open to 5,711.9, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 46.6 points, or 0.26 per cent, to 17,994.905 at the opening bell. REUTERS
