The fast-food brand first opened in 1979 and is known for its Korean-style burgers with localised and seasonal offerings

CATALIST-LISTED Katrina Group is planning to bring South Korean hamburger chain Lotteria to Singapore.

The food and beverage (F&B) and hospitality group said on Wednesday (Oct 23) it plans to open multiple Lotteria outlets across Singapore, with the first store expected to open by the second quarter of 2025.

Lotteria, which first opened in 1979, is known for its Korean-style burgers with localised and seasonal offerings. It currently operates more than 1,600 stores across seven countries.

Alan Goh, chief executive and founder of Katrina Group, said: “Given the brand’s massive popularity in South Korea and its emphasis on quality, innovation and customer satisfaction, we are confident that Lotteria will resonate with Singaporeans and further enhance our F&B portfolio.”

Katrina Group has signed a non-binding term sheet with F&B company Lotte GRS for the deal.

The group expects to benefit from the synergies between its market presence and Lotteria’s strong brand reputation in Asia.

Shares of Katrina Group closed flat at S$0.022 on Wednesday.
