Two women were removed from a British Airways flight at Heathrow on Saturday after they allegedly got into a fistfight over a red Make America Great Again cap that one of them was wearing.
The fight started as the women, aged 40 and 60, were preparing to board a flight bound for Austin, Texas, reports the Guardian.
One of the women reportedly demanded the other take off her MAGA cap. But the Trump supporter allegedly refused, and punches were exchanged in front of passengers in Heathrow’s Terminal 5, reports The Sun.

The brawl reportedly continued onboard, in the aircraft’s premium economy, where both women were seated, reports the Daily Mail.
The flight was delayed for two hours, until the captain called for assistance. Police arrived and removed the two women from the plane.
Neither woman was arrested, but both allegedly pointed fingers, laying blame for the confrontation on the other.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. A spokesperson told the Guardian: “Shortly after 12:45 pm on Monday, 28 October, police at Heathrow were made aware of an incident involving two women waiting to board a plane in Terminal 5…Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Heathrow source told the Sun: “With the U.S. presidential election so close, tensions are sky high. The airline crew could not run the risk of a full scale punch-up at 30,000ft. BA officials cannot recall a flight being delayed before due to a passenger’s baseball cap. It was extraordinary.”
British Airways told The Sun: “We apologized to our customers for the delay and got them on the way as quickly as possible.”
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
