Sink your teeth into this Nina Dobrev and Shaun White‘s very special date night.

The Vampire Diaries alum and Olympic gold medalist attended the Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town, South Africa Nov. 6, marking their first red carpet appearance since getting engaged last month. Nina, 35, walked the green carpet in a strapless red gown while Shaun, 38, sported a black tux.

The actress and pro snowboarder, who have been in a relationship for five years, announced their engagement Oct. 30.

“She said yes,” Shaun wrote on Instagram at the time, including photos off his romantic candlelight proposal, while Nina later added in her own post, “RIP Boyfriend, hello fiancé.”

A day later, the engaged couple stepped out together for Kendall Jenner’s Halloween Party while dressed as Batman characters Catwoman and the Riddler.

And while they only just got engaged, Shaun detailed his previously attempts to pop the question earlier this year. The athlete had originally hoped to propose to Nina this past summer, as he told Vogue, but the plan was interrupted when the Love Hard actress suffered a serious knee fracture in a May a biking accident that landed her in the hospital and led to months of rehabilitation.
