Company cautions that delays to the timing of key project awards in FY2025 is expected to result in lower levels of activity in Q3 and potentially Q4 of FY2025
CONSTRUCTION and engineering services company, Civmec has been awarded a design and construction contract for a new major shiploader.
In a bourse filing on Wednesday (Nov 13), the company said that the engineering and design work will be undertaken by Civmec’s own teams and facilities. The shiploader is due for handover in 2028, with the project value estimated to be around A$90 million (S$78.5 million) to A$100 million.
“We are delighted to secure the award of this prestigious shiploader project which represents a significant advancement of our balance machine division,” said Patrick Tallon, chief executive officer of Civmec.
The order book remains above A$800 million, with Civmec tendering for more projects across all business segments. However, the company cautions that delays to the timing of key project awards in the 2025 financial year is expected to result in lower levels of activity in the third quarter and potentially the fourth quarter of FY2025.
Shares of Civmec closed up 2.7 per cent or S$0.03 at S$1.15 on Wednesday.
