Look what karaoke made Amy Adams do.
The Arrival actress recounted the one and only time she’s ever met Taylor Swift, which happened “years ago” and involved singing a 4 Non Blondes hit with the “Blank Space” hitmaker.
“It was at a party after an awards show,” she recounted to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Dec. 3. “I know better than to go to the second party, but I chose to go to the second party and Taylor Swift was there.”
“There was karaoke, and I sang karaoke with Taylor Swift,” the 50-year-old continued. “We sang ‘What’s Going On?’ and I may have sang it a little loud, and I’m sure everybody was like, ‘Amy, shut up! We want to hear Taylor sing.’ I was just in it, but I should have sat down and just let Taylor sing.”
Amy—who shares 14-year-old daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo with husband Darren Le Gallo—may have had some regret for how hard she went on the mic, but Jimmy assured her that Taylor probably “loved it.”
And Amy looks back on that moment with so much fondness.
