Celebrities Speak Out As Devastating Wildfires Spread Through Southern California
Sebastian Harrison detailed his harrowing escape from his Malibu home amid the Los Angeles wildfires. In videos shared across his social media platforms, the 59-year-old was seen surrounded by flames as he was attempting to save his and his 89-year-old father’s homes, while detailing the situation on the ground.
“So, I’m still hiding behind these boulders,” he said in the video that shows the flames around him. “Sparks coming, so I have to duck behind these rocks. I’m ready to jump into the ocean if need be.”
The Love Me Licia star later recounted the scary moments and explained why he remained at his property amid the evacuation notices, as he stayed behind removing patio furniture and watering the roof of his house to prevent the fires from rapidly spreading.
“I saw that there was a curtain of fire. I left, but I went across the street and my Plan B was ‘I’m going to see if it goes through the property,’” he told CNN Jan. 9 in a joint interview with wife Livia Pillman. “And maybe perhaps maybe a structure or two would survive.”
