Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have made these red carpet outfits more than popular.
The costars, who are set to perform at the 2025 Oscars on March 2, have been paying tribute to Wicked for months as they promoted their beloved film, which earned them both Academy Awards nominations. (Cynthia is up for Actress in a Leading Role, while Ariana is nominated for Actress in a Supporting Role.)
In fact, at last year’s 2024 Oscars, Cynthia channeled her character Elphaba in a green Louis Vuitton leather dress, designed by Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière.
“An ode to the cinematic achievements of its Friends of the Maison,” the fashion house wrote on Instagram in March 2024. “Louis Vuitton dressed Cynthia Erivo in a custom emerald green gown by @NicolasGhesquiere for the esteemed ceremony in Los Angeles.”
At the same award show, Ariana also gave a nod to her character Glinda with a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown, in powder pink, of course.
