‘White Lotus’’ Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola React to Incestuous Kissing Scene

This story contains spoilers from the March 16 episode of The White Lotus.

No, Timothée Chalamet has not checked into The White Lotus.

But a jaw-dropping scene during the March 16 episode of the HBO satire—in which brothers Saxon (played by Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (played by Sam Nivola) share an incestuous kiss—drew comparisons to the same-sex romance portrayed by Timothée and Armie Hammer in the 2017 film Call Me By Your Name.

Shortly after the episode debuted, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a still of the Ratliff brothers with their arms wrapped around each other and smiling, along with the caption, “Call Me By Our Same Last Name.” In fact, Patrick, 31, reacted by reposting the image along with three cry-laughing emojis.

The unsettling display of brotherly love became a hot topic on social media almost instantly after it aired—which the Grown Ups 2 star said was precisely as series creator Mike White intended.
