Fury and Paul have traded barbs on several occasions over the years, and the former was left stunned after the American decided to call-out the heavyweight star

Tommy Fury had a brutal message for rival Jake Paul after the latter called out Anthony Joshua

Tommy Fury has reignited his rivalry with Jake Paul, brutally hitting out at the American after he called out heavyweight Anthony Joshua.

Last week, the YouTuber-turned-boxer shocked the boxing world after calling Joshua out for a fight. “I want to fight Anthony Joshua because I know I will f***ing beat Anthony Joshua’s ass,” he said on his YouTube show BS with Jake Paul. “He doesn’t have a chin and he has no skill and he’s stiff. I love you, Anthony, we’re friends and all this s*** but I want to fight you. I will beat Canelo, I will beat a lot of f***ing people.”

‘AJ’ himself then teased a dust-up with the social media star after he phoned the American in response to his call-out. The two-time world champion rung ‘The Problem Child’ and both fighters inevitably posted images of the phone call with the caption ‘2026’ – teasing a potential clash sometime next year. Joshua hasn’t fought since he was brutally knocked out by Daniel Dubois last September.

Naturally, Paul’s comments quickly went viral and many people within the combat sports community were quick to offer their verdict. One man who has chimed in is the American’s long-time rival, Fury. ‘TNT’ took to Instagram on Wednesday morning and gave his view on the matter.

Unsurprisingly, Fury was quick to hit out at the social media star in a video uploaded to his social media account. He said: “Good morning, guys. I just wanted to give a little opinion on everything I’ve been seeing on social media lately. Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua.

“I just wanted to come on here and remind everybody that, that bum couldn’t beat me. When I beat him, I had a broken hand. I had one hand and he still lost. Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy and everybody weighing this fight up, don’t bother because it ain’t worth a shilling. And the loss will always be there Mr Paul. Take it easy and have a good day.”

The two rivals fought back in 2023. Despite knocking down Fury, Paul would go on to lose via split decision. Since the clash, ‘The Problem Child’ hasn’t tasted defeat inside the ring. He last fought back in November, defeating former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson on points.

As for Fury, the 25-year-old hasn’t been seen in the ring since defeating KSI back in 2023. He was due to make his return to the ring earlier this year against former UFC title challenger Darren Till, but pulled out of the clash after the ex-MMA fighter threatened to kick him rival in the head. It’s been nearly two years since fans have seen Fury in the ring, but the boxer himself has admitted his return could be around the corner. In a separate story uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday morning, the Brit teased his boxing comeback, saying: “I’m in the best shape of my life, fit and ready to go. Got some really big fight news on the way for you guys… stay tuned!”
