US: Wall St opens lower as Trump’s auto tariffs sap sentiment

[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Thursday (Mar 27), as President Donald Trump’s latest tariff gambit sent auto stocks into a tailspin, while investors sifted through a slew of economic indicators.

At 9.30 am ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 110.22 points, or 0.26 per cent, to 42,344.57.

The S&P 500 lost 16.77 points, or 0.30 per cent, to 5,695.16 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 67.55 points, or 0.38 per cent, to 17,831.47. REUTERS
