Jax Taylor Reveals Hardest Part of Coparenting With Ex Brittany Cartwright Amid Divorce
Brittany Cartwright is sharing a family update.
The Valley star recently confirmed that her and estranged husband Jax Taylor’s son Cruz has been diagnosed with autism. And while the 3-year-old initially reached milestones like crawling and walking early, the Bravo star noted that it quickly changed after less than two years.
“He was talking, he was saying, ‘Mommy,’ ‘Daddy,'” Brittany recalled to People in an interview published April 9. “Then, as he got closer to 2, we started noticing that he was regressing in his speech. He stopped talking almost completely.”
Just days away from his 4th birthday, she noted that Cruz—who was diagnosed with autism in the fall—says different words sporadically.
“It can be difficult because I’ve never heard him say, ‘I love you,’ but he is so loving, and he shows me he loves me every single day,” the 36-year-old said. “He is such a mommy’s boy.”
Despite the challenges Brittany and Cruz will face going forward, she noted that she “couldn’t imagine” her life being different.
