‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Star Tammy Slaton Gets Heartbreaking News in Weight Loss Journey
Tammy Slaton has come a long way.
The 1000- Lb. Sisters star, who has detailed her weight loss journey with sister Amy Slaton on the TLC show since 2020, looked back at where she started in the latest episode of the series.
“I’m down 500 pounds now, around 500,” Tammy said in a confessional of the April 15 episode. “When I was at my heaviest, I was 700-plus pounds. Right now, I’m weighing in at 238.”
And the 38-year-old admitted that it has been surprising for her to surpass her sister’s 176-pound weight loss.
“Everyone is telling me I look smaller than Amy,” Tammy explained. “That’s kind of hard to believe.”
She joked, referencing the viral Jools LeBron TikTok, that being perceived as smaller than her sister makes her feel “so demure, so mindful, so cutesy.”
As she put it, “I can’t believe I did that.”
Indeed, Tammy—who recently confirmed she is in a new relationship with a woman following the death of her husband Caleb Willingham—had previously reflected on just how far she has come.
