There’s somewhere James Brolin and Barbra Streisand prefer to spend their time.
The Westworld actor cheekily shared that hanging out in bed with the Burlesque star is the secret to their 30-year marriage.
“The best investment we’ve ever made is our mattress,” Brolin, 84, said on Today April 15. “And don’t misunderstand me. We’re both lazy. We love to sleep late. We do a lot of our work on the phone, on paper, reading, right next to each other.”
The Emmy winner also shared another element he has found important in their lasting marriage—being able to calm down and step away.
“You learn to take a walk,” he said. “Both of us, not just me. I just think you gotta say, ‘OK, take a deep breath, take a walk.'”
The couple—who met in 1996 year and tied the knot two years later—will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on July 1 of this year. And after nearly three decades together, Streisand, 82, still remembers exactly how her husband looked during their first date.
