Eubank Jr and Benn are set to clash on Saturday night in what will be one of the biggest fights of the year, and both men are set to be rewarded handsomely

Chris Eubank Jr takes on Conor Benn tonight

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will split £15million when they go head-to-head in the ring on Saturday night.

The blockbuster middleweight dust-up will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in front of over 60,000 fans – with millions set to tune in world wide in what will be one of the biggest fights of the year. Fans are itching to see the latest instalment of the iconic Eubank vs Benn rivalry since their fathers clashed in 1990 and 1993.

Eubank Sr would go on to win the first showdown, before the pair fought to a dramatic draw in the sequel. Originally, the upcoming fight was due to take place in October 2022, but the bout was scrapped just a few days before fight night after Benn failed a drugs test. ‘The Destroyer’ has since had his suspension lifted and has been cleared to fight in the UK.

With the event set to generate millions, it comes as no surprise that the pair are set to earn huge paydays. The total fight purse for the clash will be £15m – with a 50/50 split agreed by the British fighters, meaning they will each be paid around £7.5m, the biggest pay days of their respective careers.

Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn will face off on Saturday, April 26, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Fans can order the fight on DAZN PPV for £19.95, which also comes with a DAZN seven-day free trial.

After the fight was confirmed, Eubank Jr revealed the conversations he had with Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh over his purse for his fight before agreeing a ‘diabolical number.’ “Many of you would have heard Eddie boasting about a 60-40 split he secured for Conor,” Eubank Jr said. “That’s just an absolute lie, which is not surprising.

”The truth of it is, Uncle Turki flew in and saved the day like the superhero he is. This is the Saudi show, he called me and said, ‘What do you want to make this fight?’ I’m sitting there thinking, ‘I’ve got to be a businessman now, and any good businessman in any negotiation, starts with an aggressively high number, then there are counter offers and negotiating and you get to the number.

”I gave him a diabolical number, I gave him an inconceivable number, and he said, ‘Done, I’ll send you the contract on Monday.’ I’m thinking I could have got more, or a couple of watches out of him! “There is no split, there are no percentages, you lied to the public in front of everybody and now I’m setting this straight.”

Ahead of the clash, Eubank Jr has revealed he will forfeit a whopping £1m should he fail to adhere to the rehydration clause. Saturday night’s fight will have a limit of 160lbs, with neither man allowed to add more than 10lb before the morning of the fight, a rule which favours Benn given Eubank Jr’s size advantage.

In an interview with the Guardian, the 35-year-old revealed the penalty in place should either fighter come in too heavy. “I can change my mind at any time but it will cost me a substantial amount of money. I don’t want to lose $1m so I’m pretty sure I’m going to stick to it,” he said.
