Liverpool star Harvey Elliott clashed with Richarlison during their 5-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday, mocking the Brazilian with a hand gesture – but now the Brazilian has responded on social media
Tottenham star Richarlison hit back at Liverpool‘s Harvey Elliott after he tried to mock the Brazilian during their 5-1 win over the North London outfit on Sunday. Liverpool’s thumping win secured the Premier League title for the Reds, leading to wild celebrations at Anfield after sealing their 20th top flight crown.
Liverpool players were understandably in good spirits during the game as they racked up a big victory and prepared to kick off their title party and Elliott was in a teasing mood towards the end of the clash.
The midfielder only came onto the pitch in the 76th minute after replacing Luis Diaz and had a couple of good moments to help Liverpool close out the game.
But in stoppage time, Elliott had a back-and-forth with Richarlison after the Tottenham forward grabbed him during an exchange, something that rubbed the 22-year-old the wrong way.
Elliott then shoved his rival before exchanging some words with the former Everton striker. Referee Thomas Bramall was forced to step in and separate them as the midfielder then gestured a ‘three’ and a ‘zero’ with his hands.

At first it was not clear what Elliott was trying to imply, but it’s now understand he was gesturing how many years Everton have gone without a trophy – after Richarlison played for the Toffees for four seasons between 2018 and 2022.
After a fan posted a video of the exchange between the two players, Richarlison himself commented on the post in response to Elliott’s gesture. Richarlison poked fun at Elliott as he wrote: “He wants to reach 30 goals in his career I think.”
Elliott has scored a total of 22 goals in his career, 14 of which have come during 143 appearances for Liverpool.
Both players have never shied away from clashing with players on the pitch and Richarlison in particular has often been seen squaring up to rivals during games.
In fact, Richarlison clashed with Virgil van Dijk during Tottenham’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield earlier this year. The Dutchman appeared to elbow the Brazilian – who went down clutching his face.
Richarlison then approached the defender and shoulder barged him as Liverpool fans accused him of trying to get Van Dijk sent off.
