Valerie Bertinelli is taking the plunge into a new chapter.
One week after celebrating her 65th birthday, the One Day at a Time alum stripped down to her swimsuit to show off how she’s been keeping her body and mind healthy as of late.
In a carousel shared to her Instagram April 30, Valerie wore a tiny red bikini, brown-rimmed glasses and a pair of necklaces while hanging outside in her backyard. In one clip from the roundup, the actress dove head-first into her rectangular underground pool and subsequently swam a lap with a giant grin across her face.
For Valerie, the activity has become a great way to improve her health.
“My pool is 66°,” she explained in the caption. “Now, for a cold plunge that’s relatively warm. (that’s what they say whoever they are) but along with everything else I’ve been experimenting with, this has helped improve my mood, has reduced inflammation and it’s easier than filling my bath up with ice cubes.”
