The Premier League season will come to an end soon and clubs are already planning for the summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool looking to make new additions
The Premier League season is almost over, with Liverpool already confirmed as champions and Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich already relegated to the Championship. There are just four gameweeks left and the race for European qualification is hotting up.
The top five teams are set to qualify for the Champions League, while the clubs which finish sixth and seventh will play in the Europa League and Conference League respectively. Manchester United and Tottenham are also in the race for Europe, even though they currently sit 14th and 16th in the league.
Both United and Spurs are in the semi-finals of the Europa League and will qualify for next season’s Champions League if they go on to win the tournament. Arsenal are also in the semi-finals of the Champions League, but will need to overturn a first leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain if they are to reach the final.

Man Utd ‘close in on free transfer’
Manchester United are set to sign Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer from Le Havre, according to reports in France.
The 18-year-old striker is out of contract with Le Havre in the summer and is said to have travelled to Manchester to finalise a move to Old Trafford. Monaco and Marseille were also interested in Kana-Biyik, but United look to have won the race for his signature.
Kana-Biyik is set to spend next season on loan at Swiss club FC Lausanne-Sport, which is owned by United co-owners INEOS, as he looks to gain more first-team experience.
Arsenal’s three-man wishlist
Mirror Football understands that Arsenal’s top priority this summer is signing a new striker and there are three names on their shortlist.
Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Newcastle star Alexander Isak, but it seems unlikely that the Magpies will sell him this summer. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres are also being considered.
New sporting director Andrea Berta is an admirer of Gyokeres, who has scored 52 goals in 48 games across all competitions so far this season, while Sesko was Arsenal’s top target last summer.
Liverpool learn Mbeumo price tag
Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo this summer, but Brentford have set an asking price of more than £60million for the forward.
Mbeumo has scored 18 league goals so far this season and the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle are also said to be considering a summer swoop for the 25-year-old. When asked about Mbeumo’s future, Brentford boss Thomas Frank told Sky Sports : “I know that Bryan is very happy being here at Brentford, he’s thriving, doing well and playing fantastic.
“What happens in the future? I don’t know. I’ve said many times: we are a selling club. But at the same time we have to reinforce that there are 10 clubs in the world who aren’t selling clubs. So, of course, if the right price – and that’s going to be expensive – is coming, then I’m sure the club will be open for it.”
