On 2,000 Guineas day at Newmarket, our ace tipster runs the rule over the shoulder races on the ITV schedule and has come up with three value picks
Frankie might not be going to Newmarket but it should pay to go to war with TWO TRIBES (1.45) at the home of Flat racing. He runs in the Betfred Handicap and he should get the perfect set up as there are plenty of potential frontrunners in the field.
The likely fast pace should play into his hands. He hasn’t had it too often in his relatively short career and, when they have gone hard early, he has often found traffic problems.

There’s no doubt he has the ability to win a race like this and it doesn’t bother me that this will be his first run since September.
Richard Spencer’s speedster was runner-up in the other 6f sprint on this card 12 months ago when having his first start of the season. Have 2pts each-way at 9-1. Sky Bet is paying out on five places.
DUTCH DECOY (2.20) has stacks of decent Newmarket form. All his wins have come on the July Course, but he has run really well in hot races on the Rowley Mile track in use today. That includes finishing second behind subsequent Cambridgeshire hero Liberty Lane in this race last year.
He had been desperately unlucky not to win his previous start when beaten a nose over a slightly shorter trip at this track.
His ability to cope with the demands of these competitive handicaps was again underlined when he was runner-up in Goodwood’s Golden Mile from an unhelpful draw. Have 2pts each-way at 10-1. Sky Bet is going five places.
CARBINE HARVESTER (4.40) has been in superb form on the all-weather and he would have to be in with a decent shout if transferring that to turf. He rattled up four wins from five starts before finishing a creditable fifth in a red-hot handicap at Newcastle on All-Weather Finals day at Newcastle on Good Friday.
William Haggas’ sprinter will be properly fit having been on the go throughout the winter and that might give him the edge on some of his rivals.
He’s pretty versatile and has won at four different tracks on the all-weather, so there’s every chance he will handle the switch of surface. Have 1pt each-way at 14-1. Several firms are offering four places.
