The Liver King is no longer living on just meat.
Brian Johnson, a fitness influencer who spent years promoting an “ancestral lifestyle” consisting of eating raw beef livers, testicles and tongues, has changed his ways after he was exposed in 2022 for using steroids and human growth hormone (HGH) to bulk up his physique.
Aside from ditching performance-enhancing drugs, Brian has been introducing plants to his once-carnivore diet in the scandal’s aftermath.
“Vegetables and testicles, I can have all of it,” he shared on the Netflix documentary Untold: The Liver King, released May 13. “I was so convinced, all the carnivore stuff, that’s what you need to really kick ass in life. I’m convinced now that I was starving myself.”
In fact, the 48-year-old believes he “got all of it wrong” at the height of his fame in the late 2010s, when he was encouraging others to get buff by eating animal offal and following nine specific tenets of life—including avoiding what he called “man-made poisons” like perfume, plastics and excessive wifi.
