[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Tuesday (May 20) as investors awaited commentary from Federal Reserve officials through the day to assess the potential impact of US President Donald Trump’s tariffs in the second half of 2025.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 57.0 points, or 0.13 per cent, at the open to 42,735.11.
The S&P 500 fell 18.9 points, or 0.32 per cent, at the open to 5,944.66, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 83.4 points, or 0.43 per cent, to 19,132.057 at the opening bell. REUTERS
