Even superstars have superstitions.

Whether it’s knocking on wood or throwing salt over the shoulder, celebrities are doing what they can to navigate the mysteries of the universe. In fact, many in Hollywood often look to astrology and numerology for guidance—even on Friday the 13th.

After all, several stars were born on the so-called unlucky day, including Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, who came into the world on June 13, 1986, as well as Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart, who was born on Friday Sept. 13, 1996.

And take Taylor Swift, who has embraced the number 13 wholeheartedly.

“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th,” she explained to MTV in 2009. “My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter.”

The “Blank Space” singer continued, “Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”
