Liverpool fans have been left in awe of Milos Kerkez after spotting their new signing in a pre-season training video. The Reds signed Kerkez from Bournemouth for a fee of around £40million in June, with the left-back penning a five-year deal with the Anfield club.

In doing so, the 21-year-old became their third major signing of the summer transfer window in June, following the arrival of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong. Kerkez made his debut off the bench during Sunday’s emotional pre-season friendly win over Preston North End.

Despite being introduced at half time, the Hungary international was able to show flashes of his lofty potential.

And ahead of the 2025/26 season, Liverpool supporters were given another chance to see exactly what their new full-back is capable of as the club posted a video online of the squad’s session at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday.

Kerkez was one of the several new arrivals involved and viewers were quick to point out his eye-catching intensity and work-rate. That was evident as he took part in rigorous gym activity and later a small-sided game, where he pulled off an impressive tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai.

One fan on YouTube wrote: “Kerkez’s intensity is crazy even in training you can see his commitment,” while another commented: “His footwork is insane.”

A third wrote: “Kerkez looks like a serious athlete,” as a fourth added: “Kerkez is a beast.” Others chimed in with: “He can potentially be the world’s best left-back,” and: “The best signing so far for me.”

Kerkez enjoyed a breakout 2023/24 season at Bournemouth before going on to make 41 appearances last term, where he featured in every Premier League game.

He was signed by the Premier League champions to provide strong competition for Andy Robertson, who struggled at points last season and was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer.

Kerkez, who is known for his electric pace and emphasis on attacking, said after signing for the club: “It’s a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, [the] biggest club in England. I’m just really, really happy and excited.

“After this, I’ll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can’t really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season.”

He has 23 caps for Hungary while being named in the Premier League Fan Team of the Season for 2024/25 thanks to his contributions to Bournemouth, helping the side secure a ninth place finish in the league.
