Arsenal have already concluded some big business this summer but the Gunners still want to bring in more fresh faces before the new Premier League season kicks off next month

Arsenal are set to smash the £200million barrier with their summer spending as they close in on deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera this week.

The Gunners have already forked out big money on deals for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. And with a £50m deal for Noni Madueke also done, you could be forgiven for thinking that Arsenal will shut up shop after getting agreements for Gyokeres and Mosquera over the line.

But Andrea Berta and Co are expected to push for another top signing in addition to those names, with Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze still of interest.

Outgoings are also expected with interest in Gabriel Martinelli from Bayern Munich emerging this week. Others could leave, too, with a handful of stars now surplus to requirements.

Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest transfer news from in and around The Emirates…

Rodrygo set for rival talks

Liverpool have seemingly joined the race for Rodrygo this week and, as per AS, it seems as though the club will soon send officials to conduct club-to-club talks with Real Madrid over a deal for the attacker.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Rodrygo, 24, in their search for a new elite left winger this summer. But with big deals for Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres in the works it remains to be seen if a move for the Brazilian can be done.

It’s now been claimed Liverpool are ready to do “everything in their power” to land Rodrygo with Luis Diaz angling for a summer exit.

Arsenal eye big deal

Arsenal have already spent big in the summer transfer window but they are not done yet, according to The Athletic.

They say that the Gunners will pursue either Rodrygo or Eberechi Eze after concluding deals for Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera; even though those transfers will mean the club have spent more than £200m this summer.

It’s said they want one more ‘X Factor‘ signing – which could be funded by sales – and both Rodrygo and Eze fit the bill.

Nelson approach emerges

Fulham have made contact with Arsenal in a bid to bring Reiss Nelson back to Craven Cottage.

The Arsenal attacker, 25, spent last season on loan at Fulham but was restricted to just 11 appearances due to injury.

Nelson is among a pool of players Arsenal are willing to move on this summer. And BBC Sport say Fulham have approached Arsenal over a deal, possibly a loan, which would see Nelson return to Craven Cottage.
