The world is mourning the loss of Hulk Hogan.
Following the news of the WWE star’s July 24 death in Florida, with authorities confirming to E! News they had responded to an emergency pertaining to “cardiac arrest,” the 71-year-old’s friends and competitors expressed their grief over the tragic news.
“WWE is saddened to learn legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” the WWE wrote in a July 24 Instagram tribute to the Hall of Famer. “One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
For his part, WWE champion Ric Flair dedicated a heartbreaking message to his longtime friend and most worthy adversary.
“I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @hulkhogan,” the wrestler wrote on Instagram alongside several photos of himself with Hogan (real name Terry Gene Bollea). “Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father!”
