[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Friday as investors awaited Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s Jackson Hole Symposium speech for insights into the interest-rate path.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 167.4 points, or 0.37 per cent, at the open to 44,952.88.
The S&P 500 rose 14.4 points, or 0.23 per cent, at the open to 6,384.59, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 39.5 points, or 0.19 per cent, to 21,139.826 at the opening bell. REUTERS
