Selena Gomez and David Henrie Share Their Favorite Childhood Disney Channel Memories (Exclusive)
David Henrie is looking forward to his former costar’s magical day.
The Wizards of Waverly Place alum—who played Justin Russo opposite Selena Gomez‘s Alex Russo on the hit Disney Channel series from 2007 to 2012 and, most recently, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place—revealed whether he will be attending the “Same Old Love” singer and her fiancé Benny Blanco‘s upcoming wedding.
“Oh, 100 percent,” David said in an interview with Parade published Sept. 5. “I mean, as long as I’m not doing something that takes me away with my family or work, or whatever.”
In fact, the 36-year-old—who shares daughters Pia, 6, and Gemma, 3, as well as son James, 5, with wife Maria Cahill—shared that he’s already discussed the big day with Selena, who announced her engagement to Benny back in December following one year of dating.
“Yes, we’ve talked about it,” David confirmed. “I’m very excited.”
And he’ll be nothing but thrilled to watch his longtime friend walk down the aisle toward Benny, noting that he’s “spent some time with them” and sees why they make a great match.
“She smiles a lot around him,” David shared. “That makes me really happy, so I’m very happy about that.”
