Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex is weighing in on her rosy new chapter.
Hours after the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was officially revealed as the leading lady of season 22 of The Bachelorette, her ex Dakota Mortensen shared a cryptic message about life on his Instagram.
“Been thrown so many curve balls today,” Dakota—whose on and off relationship with the MomTok star has been documented on the Hulu reality series—wrote in a Sept. 10 Instagram Story. “And every time I am reminded there is nothing more important than God and family. Life is so short.”
Taylor, mom Ever, 13 months, with ex Dakota as well as to Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5, with ex Tate Paul, had announced her big casting news earlier that same day during an appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, and had an eyebrow-raising confession about the last time she “hooked up” with Dakota.
“I can’t remember, honestly,” she said during the Sept. 10 episode, noting that following Stagecoach in April, they had “maybe one” more hook up.
“It has been very confusing to be honest,” Taylor, who emphasized the former couple were done for good, continued. “I did want to end up with him.
Meanwhile, Dakota alluded to a contradicting memory of their final moments together, adding in a comment below a TikTok clip of the episode, “One or two times…got it lol.”
As for Taylor’s perspective on becoming the next Bachelorette? She’s still processing that, too.
