[SINGAPORE] Asset manager Keppel ’s infrastructure division is collaborating with Engie Energy Marketing Singapore, a subsidiary of French energy company Engie, to jointly advance the development of innovative energy solutions that accelerate Asia-Pacific’s transition to low-carbon energy systems.

The agreement, announced at the Asean-France Forum during Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), on Wednesday (Oct 29) also seeks to improve business cooperation in the energy sector.

SIEW, an annual week-long energy event organised by the Republic’s Energy Market Authority, brings together policymakers, industry chief executive officers (CEOs) and international organisations.

The Keppel-Engie partnership will leverage the former’s expertise in power, decarbonisation and energy transition solutions, and the latter’s global expertise in integrated low-carbon energy systems.

“By combining Keppel’s deep operating know-how in the region with Engie’s global portfolio and expertise, this collaboration will unlock a powerful multiplier effect – accelerating the scale-up deployment of sustainable energy systems and enhancing energy resilience and cost competitiveness across the region,” said Cindy Lim, CEO of Keppel’s infrastructure division.

Both parties will jointly explore opportunities in Singapore and across Asia-Pacific, focusing on energy optimisation, low-carbon solutions, renewable power agreements and policy collaboration to accelerate the energy transition.

Additionally, their partnership will build on the momentum of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed between Singapore and France in May 2025.

“This collaboration is a strong reflection of the partnership between France and Singapore in advancing sustainable energy solutions for the region,” said French Ambassador to Singapore Stephen Marchisio.

“It demonstrates how cooperation between companies and shared innovation can accelerate the transition towards a low-carbon future, while strengthening the deep ties between our two countries,” he added.
