Bobbi Althoff is sharing the downsides of her cosmetic procedure.
Indeed, the Not This Again host reflected on her two experiences with getting Botox, and how her latest injections left her face extremely tight.
“If you’re wondering, ‘Bobbi, why can’t your face move?’ Let me tell you why,” Bobbi said in her Nov. 9 TikTok video, which she captioned “#botchedbotox.” “In 2023, I went to this person that was like, ‘Oh, you should get this done to your face,’ and I was like, ‘Sure, let’s do it.’ One of the things that she did was put 20 units of botox into my chin, and it made it so that I couldn’t smile.”
Due to that uncomfortable sensation, the 28-year-old—who rose to fame in 2023 with her former show The Really Good Podcast—became “scared of Botox.” However, she was re-introduced to the treatment after she recently visited a “TMJ specialist” to fix her chronic jaw pain.
“I go in, he does a CT scan of my jaw, and he told me, ‘It’s not a bone problem, it’s a muscle problem,’” she recalled of her consultation. “He’s also like, ‘Have you ever heard of getting Botox in your jaw?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, but I’ve had a bad experience with Botox.’”
