Becca Bloom is feeling thorny.
The TikToker—dubbed by fans as the “queen of RichTok” for her videos documenting her lavish lifestyle—addressed criticism over her wealth after online users called her out for making a video about inequality in society.
In the Nov. 13 clip, Becca (real name Rebecca Ma) explained why her husband David Pownall “pays all the bills,” calling it “the bare minimum” in their relationship dynamic.
“Men only remember the word equality when it benefits them financially—not when it comes to wages, not when it comes to safety, not when it comes to emotional workload, not when it comes to the cost of beauty,” she argued. “Equality is balanced responsibility and until society becomes statistically equal, you cannot cherry pick equality only in moments where it allows you to contribute less.”
However, some people took issue with Becca expounding inequality when many of her TikTok videos depict a life of opulence, with one commenter writing, “I will not be lectured on equality by this billionaire. Not now, not ever.”
