Kate Middleton and Prince William Coordinate During First Red Carpet Date Night in 2 Years
Kate Middleton and Jessie J have a special connection.
The Princess of Wales and the “Bang Bang” singer shared a sweet hug following the Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall on Nov. 19. After the show, Kate and Prince William met with several musicians, including Jessie.
During the meeting, Kate—who wore a green velvet gown by Talbot Runhof—spoke with Jessie, 37, before going in for a hug. Shortly afterwards, Jessie reflected on the moment they shared as cancer survivors.
“Mum to mum, who has just recently gone through cancer, I just wanted to give her a hug,” the “Price Tag” singer said via The Independent. “We acknowledged that it’s something that is not easy to go through, especially in the public eye.”
Jessie publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis in June. For her part, the Princess of Wales opened up about undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer in March 2024. Kate—who shares children Prince Goerge, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with William—confirmed she was in remission in January.
