Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez Agree They “Want to Die” Over Online Criticism
Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez are getting loud about their critics.
The Shakespeare in Love actress and “On the Floor” singer bonded over their shared experience of dealing with online haters during a conversation with Emily Blunt, Tessa Thompson, Elle Fanning and Sydney Sweeney.
“I try to never read anything about myself,” Gwyneth shared during the Los Angeles Times’ roundtable interview published Dec. 16, “full stop, ever. Period.”
Jennifer shared her surprise, asking, “Wait, not anything about yourself? Ever? Period?”
While Jennifer, 56, said she doesn’t “read reviews of my films,” she noted people will often bring them to her when they’re good or even when they’re not.
For Gwyneth, the 53-year-old shared, “Sometimes I’ll come upon it,” to which the Kiss of the Spider Woman actress responded, “And you want to die.”
It was a sentiment the Marty Supreme star agreed with, saying, “Want to die. Like when someone forwards you a link to something really horrible about yourself, and they’re like, ‘Oh, this is bulls–t.’ I do try to avoid [that kind of stuff]. I deleted Instagram.”
