Jane Slater is alive and well.
The Dallas-based NFL Network reporter cleared up rumors that she had died after they began to circulate on Dec. 20 when a Dallas Cowboys Facebook fan page posted about her supposed death, saying she was the victim of “a tragic domestic violence incident.”
A fan sent a screenshot of the post to Jane on X, asking, “@SlaterNFL did you pass away??”
Jane quickly responded, “I don’t think so?”
“But does this mean there is glitch in the matrix?” she joked in the Dec. 21 post on X. “I’m gonna wrap myself in bubble wrap until NYE.”
Friends and fans were incredibly relieved to learn the reports of Jane’s death were false.
“Thank God you texted this morning,” one friend wrote in the comments, to which Jane responded, “Hahaha might have to FaceTime. Can’t trust anything these days.”
Another shared a screenshot of the 45-year-old reporting from a football field, writing, “Thankfully Jane is alive and well on my TV.”
