Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s daughter is a pitch perfect princess.
Princess Charlotte, 10, showed off her musical skills during a surprise appearance alongside the Princess of Wales on ITV’s holiday special Royal Carols: Together at Christmas on Dec. 24.
During what Kensington Palace described as “a special duet,” the mother-daughter duo sat together at the piano to perform “Holm Sound” by Erland Cooper.
Kate—who also shares Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, with the future King of England—looked graceful in a green Christmas gown, while her mini-me smiled in an adorable navy-blue sweater and plaid skirt outfit for the TV show.
In addition to playing the tune, Kate also gave an emotional message in a narration over the song.
“At its heart, Christmas speaks of love taking form in the simplest, most human ways,” the 43-year-old began. “Not in sentimental or grand gestures, but gentle ones: a moment of listening, a word of comfort, a friendly conversation, a helping hand, presence. These simple acts of care might seem small, but they contribute to the beautiful tapestry of life to which we all belong.”
