Here, Mirror Sport takes a look at all the info needed for the World Darts Championship final between Luke Littler and Gian van Veen.

  1. When is the World Darts Championship final? The final will be held on Saturday, January 3. The walk-ons at Alexandra Palace are scheduled for 8pm, where Luke Littler and Gian van Veen will go head-to-head.
  2. Luke “The Nuke” Littler, the 18-year-old defending champion and world number one, booked his place in Saturday’s showpiece match with a victory in the first semi-final. Littler secured his place in his third consecutive final by defeating Ryan Searle 6-1 in the first match of the evening.
  3. Littler’s Performance: After losing the first set, Littler won six sets in a row with a three-dart average of 105.35 and 10 maximums (180s).
  4. Gian van Veen, the 23-year-old “GVV, officially became the new Dutch number one during this tournament. Van Veen reached his first-ever World Championship final by overcoming the legendary two-time champion Gary Anderson 6-3, setting up a clash against Littler in Saturday evening’s final at Alexandra Palace.
  5. Van Veen’s Performance: Building on his dominant 5-1 win over Luke Humphries in the quarter-finals, Van Veen used high scoring and clinical doubling to stop the “Flying Scotsman” in the second semi-final.
