Mirror Sport takes a look at the schedule for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations…

  1. Semi-Final 1 – Senegal vs. Egypt: Wednesday, January 14 at 5pm, Tangier Grand Stadium (Stade Ibn-Batouta), Tangier.
  2. Semi-Final 2 – Morocco vs. Nigeria: Wednesday, January 14 at 8pm, Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
  3. Senegal’s Premier League contingent: Senegal have the most players from the Premier League, including Pape Matar Sarr (Tottenham), Idrissa Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye (Everton), Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace), and El Hadji Malick Diouf (West Ham). Senegal claimed a 1-0 win over Mali in their quarter-final on Friday to reach the next round.
  4. Egypt’s star forwards: The Pharaohs are led by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who has scored in four of his five matches so far. He is joined in their forward line by Manchester City star Omar Marmoush, with Egypt beating the Ivory Coast 3-2 in their quarter-final match on Saturday.
  5. Nigeria’s Fulham trio: The Super Eagles’ charge is heavily supported by a trio of Fulham players: Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze. They also feature Brentford’s Frank Onyeka in midfield, and claimed a 2-0 victory over Nigeria in their last match to book a place in the semi-final.
  6. Morocco’s defensive anchor: The host nation and tournament favourites have Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui in their defence. They reached the semi-final after knocking out Cameroon, who had fellow United star Bryan Mbeumo in their ranks.
  7. TV details: Both matches will be broadcast live in the UK on E4 and they can all be watched via All4. They will also be available on the Channel 4 Sport YouTube channel.
