Real Madrid brutally sacked Xabi Alonso earlier this week following a disappointing eight-month spell at the Bernabeu and Jude Bellingham has responded to his exit

Jude Bellingham has hit out at rumours of a fall out with Xabi Alonso before his sacking, labelling the speculation as ‘a load of s***’. The Spaniard was sacked by Real Madrid on Monday after just eight months at the helm.

His exit comes after a dramatic spell with the Spanish giants, where they have lagged behind fierce rivals Barcelona. And there have been suggestions that he did not see eye-to-eye with a host of the club’s high-profile stars including Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Bellingham.

But the England star moved to shut down those suggestions with a foul-mouthed rant on his own app. He said: “Until now l’ve let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time. But honestly… What a load of s***.

“Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto the every word of these clowns and their ‘sources’. Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy.”

Bellingham, 22, made 29 appearances for Real Madrid under Alonso, scoring six goals. The midfielder is not the only one to speak out.

Kylian Mbappe also sent a message to Alonso following his exit and was full of praise for the work the Spaniard did at the Bernabeu. He wrote: “It’s been short but it was a pleasure to play for you and learn from you. Thank you for giving me the confidence since Day 1.

“I will remember you as a manager who had clear ideas and knows many things about football. Best of luck for your next chapter.”

Alonso himself also spoke out in the aftermath of his exit from Real Madrid. Taking to social media, he wrote: “This chapter of my career has come to an end, and it hasn’t turned out as we would have liked. Coaching Real Madrid has been both an honor and a responsibility.

“I thank the club, the players, and above all, the fans and the Madridista community for their trust and support. I leave with respect, gratitude, and the pride of having done my best.”

Real have already confirmed the man who will replace Alonso at the club. Former defender Alvaro Arbeloa has been appointed as his successor and will oversee his first game on Wednesday evening against Albacete in the Copa del Rey. His first league game at the helm comes at the weekend at home against Levante.
