The Seattle Seahawks kicker has made history in Super Bowl LX as he made multiple field goals throughout the game
Jason Myers has become the first NFL player in history to score over 200 points in a single season and also broken the record for most field goals scored in a Super Bowl. The Seattle Seahawks kicker has been prolific throughout Super Bowl LX, making every one of his field goals to give his team a 12-0 lead before a touchdown was scored in the fourth quarter.
Myers tied the likes of Ray Wersching, Harrison Butker, and Jake Elliot with his fourth kick through the uprights to put the score at 22-7, but surpassed them with minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, becoming the first kicker in NFL history to score five field goals.
The Seahawks have been one of the best teams in the league throughout the season, going 14-3 and sweeping aside division rivals, the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers, in the playoffs.
Myers has been extremely influential during this run, going three for three in postseason field goals. Throughout the regular campaign, he had a completion rate of 85.4% after missing just seven out of 48 attempts.
This means that the kicker has scored over 200 points throughout the season, including playoffs. The impressive points tally has caught the attention of various fans who called out the inability to vote Myers as the Super Bowl MVP.

Another added: “More points than any player on the field but not on MVP choice list.”
A third said: “And I can’t even vote for him as Super Bowl MVP smh.”
One noted: “But isn’t even an option to vote for Superbowl MVP,” while another said: “SB MVP! Why can’t I vote for him?”
The Super Bowl is still ongoing and if an option becomes available, then Myers could make even more history. If fans agree, then he could become the first kicker in history to win the MVP award.
