WALL Street’s main indexes opened higher on Monday (Apr 15) after a bruising sell-off in the previous session on the back of disappointing earnings from some big US banks, while escalating tensions in the Middle East made investors wary.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 92.14 points, or 0.24 per cent, at the open to 38,075.38.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 26.26 points, or 0.51 per cent, at 5,149.67, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 101.38 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 16,276.47 at the opening bell. REUTERS
