Micah Richards interviewed Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries following their 3-3 draw with Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals and it ended up being a hilarious moment
Micah Richards hilariously walked out of CBS’ studio after Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries called his suit ‘too small’. Former Manchester City defender Richards was interviewing Dumfries following the Dutch right-back’s two goals against Barcelona.
Dumfries, 29, scored either side of half-time as Inter played out a swashbuckling 3-3 draw in the first leg of the teams’ Champions League semi-final clash. His first goal put Inter 2-0 up after just 21 minutes, only for Barca to level the scores before the break.
A well-taken header from Dumfries restored Inter’s lead in the 64th minute, only for the hosts to respond again and ultimately set up a mouth-watering second leg in Milan next Wednesday. After winning the Player of the Match award, Dumfries spoke to CBS Sports’ team of Kate Scott, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards.
The ex-City star followed up on Scott’s opening questions by asking if the Netherlands international was named after acting legend Denzel Washington. Dumfries confirmed Richards’ suspicions before saying that he was a fan of CBS’ Champions League coverage.
Richards then asked who Dumfries’ favourite member of the team was, to which he replied: “Oh, this is though. You are my favourite.”

After cheering, Richards walked up to the big screen where Dumfries’ image was being shown and shouted: “Denzel, I love you.”
But his frown was quickly turned upside down, as 29-year-old said: “But remember what (Inter team-mate) Marcus Thuram said: your suit is a little bit too small.”
Richards immediately turned around and walked off the set, as Henry and Carragher howled with laughter. “I’m joking, I’m joking, my friend,” Dumfries pleaded.

The show then had to go to a break, as Scott and Carragher thanked Dumfries for his time. Henry, meanwhile, pointed out that Richards’ sleeves on his blazer were too short, saying: “When he comes back, please can we go to the sleeves?”
Richards eventually came back and told presenter Scott: “You know what, I blame you. On socials, you’re lambasting me every week, so everyone thinks it’s fine now.”
Scott cheekily asked in reply: “Do you feel comfortable with your sleeve length?”
“What you trying to say?” Richards responded before Carragher instructed him to hold out his arms to see how far his sleeves went up. He started raising his arms before bursting out laughing and acknowledging his fashion issue.
