Will There Be a Season 4 of Ted Lasso? Jason Sudeikis Says…

AFC Richmond might be missing some familiar faces when Ted Lasso returns.

Phil Dunster seemingly won’t be back for the Apple TV+ comedy’s upcoming fourth season, according to a July 21 press release.

Per the streamer’s production announcement, returning for the new season are stars Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Hannah Waddingham and Jeremy Swift, who will be joined by season four newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely, who is taking over the role of Ted’s son Henry from Gus Turner.

However, Dunster—who portrayed English soccer star Jamie Tartt and was a series regular during the show’s first three seasons—was noticeably absent from the announcement. And he wasn’t alone.

Several other key cast members—including Nick Mohammed (Nate Shelley), Sarah Niles (Dr. Sharon Fieldstone), Anthony Head (Rupert Mannion), Toheeb Jimoh (Sam Obisanya), James Lance (Trent Crimm), Cristo Fernandez (Dani Rojas), Kola Bokinni (Isaac McAdoo) and Billy Harris (Colin Hughes)—weren’t named, meaning their fates on the show are seemingly up in the air as well.
