Brandon Blackstock’s Daughter Savannah Shares How He Changed 6 Months Before His Death

Reba and Narvel’s son and Brandon’s half-brother, race car driver Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock, paid his respects, posting, “Brandon Blackstock was an irreplaceable part of our family—funny, bright, and full of life—and he will be deeply missed. He taught me so much, leaving behind countless cherished memories that I will hold onto forever.”

Kelly—who shared children River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 8, with Brandon—shared one day before his death that she would be canceling her upcoming Las Vegas performance dates due to Brandon’s illness. 

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” the American Idol alum wrote on Instagram Aug. 6. “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
